Flying Weight

Flying Weight is a daily weigh-in book for falconers. It was built on one rule: your mews book is yours. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
Nothing. Flying Weight does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data, usage data, or analytics of any kind. There are no advertising identifiers, no crash reporters that phone home, and no software development kits from third parties that gather information about you or your device.
Everything you enter — bird profiles, weigh-ins, feed records, casting notes, flight responses, training-ladder sessions, moult feather status, and gear history — is written only to your device's local storage. None of it is uploaded to a server, because Flying Weight does not operate one.

Flying Weight asks for camera access so you can photograph the perch-scale reading at a weigh-in and take a portrait of a bird, and for photo library access so you can choose an existing portrait instead. Both permissions are requested only at the moment you use that feature, and any photo you capture or choose is saved solely inside the app's own local storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded, shared, or analysed, and the app cannot access your camera or photo library except when you actively choose to use these features.
If you turn on the morning weigh-in reminder, Flying Weight schedules a local notification directly on your device using Apple's notification framework. No notification content or scheduling data is sent to any server, because the reminder is generated and delivered entirely on-device.
Flying Weight can export your records as a CSV file so you can keep your own backup or share it with someone you choose, using the system share sheet. That export is initiated by you, goes only to the destination you pick, and is never sent anywhere by the app itself.
Flying Weight is a record-keeping tool for licensed falconers and austringers. It is not directed at children, does not knowingly collect information from anyone, and has no age-gated features because it collects no information from any user regardless of age.
Flying Weight does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing service. There is nothing to share, because nothing is collected.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
